On a weekend getaway to my friend's PA lakehouse in my custom The Ave Los Angeles skull & rose chucks, new Express striped ruffle asymmetrical mini skirt,  Free People top, new Vigoss grey suede moto jacket by and my new YSL black medium Kate chain strap purse!

Hi there!

I think I've already spoken about how much I love this style aesthetic but to reiterate: girly meets rock and roll is my absolute fave! This fall we are seeing ruffles stripes and moto jackets everywhere so naturally I had to style the trends!

I styled my new Vigoss grey suede moto jacket (by from Nordstrom) with an older cream Free People top, and a new Express asymmetrical striped ruffled mini skirt. I finished the look with my custom chucks from a great store in Los Angeles, CA called The Ave. They are skull and rose Day of the Dead print with graffiti lettered "Lina" on one shoe tongue and "Ballerina" on the other. I love these high tops so much. I also wore my brand new Yves Saint Laurent black medium Kate chain strap bag that I'm just in love with. I love the black on black detail making this a classic yet edgy purse.

Now that it's cooling down a bit in New York it's fun to layer on the moto jacket and scarf or blazer. Next week I'll highlight the blazer must have for fall!

Hi there!

In my photos above I was inspired by some old Audrey Hepburn photographs I wanted to steal the look and feel from and re-create in a more modern way. I love the look of a classic Chanel-inspired tweed blazer with pockets, and Audrey's 1960s style is also so iconic in her skinny jeans, turtlenecks and loafers. So I combined the loafers and jeans with a classic silk bow and button-down blouse and topped it off with a white shimmery blazer in a Chanel-inspired look.

This Chanel-inspired blazer was an EBay find from a small boutique that hand made blazers, and they had so many beautiful ones to choose from! Many shops such as JCrew, Ann Taylor, Zara, and department stores like Bloomingdales have a variety to choose from.

My black silk blouse with bow front detail and a low neckline, and buttons in the front is by Rachael Zoe Collection, from a couple seasons back. It's one of my wardrobe staples that was worth investing in because I'll wear it again and again, so getting some high quality staple pieces is always worth it! The skinny jeans are Express and they fit me so well. I go through jeans so quickly that I stopped buying designer jeans (though if I go designer I LOVE Rag & Bone).

My accessories are my Rock Stud Valentino bag that I have been toting everywhere lately, accentuating the gold and black in my look, and a great pair of Steve Madden sparkly gold loafers. Metallics can be worn as a neutral to me, they are very much in fashion, and they are always a fun statement piece to add onto a more conservative look like this one. If you're thinking of shopping now is the time when many sales are happening so head to websites and stores and see what bargains you'll find! I am also a stylist so feel free to message me if you need wardrobe help, style advice, or personal shopping services.

Hi there!

Coming out of resort wear season and right into end of Spring / early Summer means sporting a cute sun dress. My favorite wardrobe staple sun dress is a white lacy number that you can accessorize with.

In this look (my dress is Express so it was a steal) I pair my white lacy halter dress with my Mexico tan, a great nude wedge (I went with my Arezzo ones from Brazil recently)  with nude handmade clutch and a gold shell earring (both from a boutique in Brazil). I also paired a boho colorful robe (also a steal from Forever21!!) over the dress to add color and texture and a tropical vibe since I was vacationing at a resort in a Puerto Vallarta, and at night on the marina there can be a little breeze.

A close-up of the texture and color of the boho robe and my shell earrings paired with the halter dress.

A white dress for summer can transition from the beach to going out at night, and you can't go wrong with a neutral palette, it matches absolutely everything. Add on your accessories to style it your way and have a little more fun with it. The best part about a tan is you need little to no makeup because to me natural beauty is so much more beautiful than an overly done-up face. I do love to play with makeup, but a beachy look is effortlessly beautiful and it requires less maintenance. For example my new lip obsession is the Burts Bees tinted lipstick line. It moisturizes with just a hint of color and leaves your lips soft. That and a pair of sunnies (with plenty of sunscreen) is all you need on your face at the beach!

Happy Spring:)
